Background check–I began my career cranking out ad copy at a radio station in my hometown in upstate New York, moved on to become sports editor of the local paper, landed a job as news editor/feature writer for a leading newspaper syndicate in the Big Apple, left to join the United Way’s communication team and eventually put down roots in Minneapolis, founding my own grant writing/public relations firm–all the while freelancing for Irish America, Diabetes Forecast and other publications. Today you’ll find me practicing my craft amid the towering evergreens a tad north of Seattle.
Nobody’s perfect–I love to write and I’m good at it, but throw even a minor math challenge my way and I’m totally lost without a calculator. That’s why I hired a good accountant.
